Besides the 7th, which obiuvsly no one have read yet, what do you think is the best Harry Potter book?
I voted for Harry Potter and the Prisoner's of Azkaban because I think it's a turning point of Harry's story, new characters appear, he finds out new things about his parents and the night they died.

I love POA too. I agree with all the reasons you said, and I also LOVE sirius black.
The 3rd is also my favorite movie, I loved that director best.

HBP for me - definitely the most dramatic and deep of the novels so far...

HP 3 & 4 are my favorites - I voted for the Goblet of Fire because I really enjoyed the Quidditch World Cup, the whole tournament idea and learning more about where Voldemort comes from.

I voted for The half Blood Prince. I think it was very well written and had a great structure and I liked the way the story was retold somehow and getting to know more details about the characters. Prisoner of Azkaban was great, too.
I still can't believe I like Harry Potter, because I normally really hate fantasy novels!

I love PoA, so I voted for that. I think all the new characters are just great. Is anyone else going to reread the books before the final one comes out? I personally haven't reread any of the books once. I read #1-4 in 8th grade (I'm now in college) so I think I should reread them rather than just rely on what the movies remind me. Plus I think it'd be great to read them all again right before the 7th one. Yay preordering on Amazon.com, can't wait...

I'm tied between the HBP and GoF, I like them both! My least favorite was probably OotP.

I voted for the HPaPS,may its not the best one, but I like it most, because it was the first time Harry Potter appeared and it was something new.I remeber how exciting it was to start reading about him, give me some flashbacks from childhood probably . But beside this one I like the fourth and third book and Sirius Black..

Just a quick question, but did anyone ever sort of get tired of Harry being the ring leader all the time? I mean, at times I got somewhat annoyed with the character, even if I love him. I wondered what an adventure would seem like thru the eyes of a sidekick (aka Ron or Hermione). But then again, perhaps that's why the books are Harry Potter and the... and not Ron Weasley and the... or Hermione Granger and the...

POA, hands down. Great book, and the turning point for the films. (bless you Alfonso Cuaron!) But i have to confess i do step apart from most HP fans in also loving OOTP; many complained about the length and Harry's mood swings but those two elements are the very reason why it is second on my list. Detail and emotional believability, people. If i were Harry, i'd have cracked somehwere around Chamber!
