snape is just such an iffy character. i wish he would just choose if he's good or bad already.

I'm making my best efforts to move this thread back up, because although we have a specific Deathly Hallows section (THIS ONE CAME FIRST!!! oops.. did i say that aloud? .... *hides face*), i figure with interest being renewed in these final months before the last release, this thread can still remain a general discussion on our fav wizard, who all too soon will cease to be a part of our bi-yearly novel-buying lives.... oh God!!! *starts crying again*

Hehe, no no it's fine; once again i say silly things! "Lad" is just a casual, jovial term, traditionally coming from England, for "boy". I just figured i wanted to have a title for thr thread that you read it and knew what it was concerning, without blatantly typing "Harry Potter"... i don't know, it seemed more affectionate that way! Me and my odd ways!

Ah, that's clear now, thank you! I agree, it's more fun and affectionate than simply "Harry Potter"...you had a great idea! So do you think harry will die at the end (everytime the same question )? I hope he won't.

I confess (and see earlier posts in this and other HP threads for more explanation as to why) that i actually HOPE Haz will die, to a certain extent. Not that he doesn't deserve happiness and a long life, of course.

Me sorry too! *salutes* Just a random series question; who else thinks that the opening chapters of book 1 and book 4 are quite brilliant in that they don't give us immediate Harry; instead in both cases we are provided with stories and scenarios that come to have special significance later on, and yet when reading them we may feel as though we are being unjustly misled or cheated out of direct news of Harry. I applaud Jo for being brave enough to do this, and perhaps it would be the right way to open the final book also. Who knows?

Good point, neh! I agree. I like that chapters and I hope JKR would open book 7 in that way. I think that opening the book with a chapter which doesn't give us immediate Harry helps to increase reader's interest and curiosity for the story is starting (that's what happened to me). Also the first chapter of book 6, and the 2nd chapter, doesn't show immediately Harry, but maybe the 2nd is more important for the evolving of the story..the first is interesting because make the readers know what happend after the events which close book 5 and gives some information about what happened in the past, I loved the fact that those events are mostly seen by a non-magic point of view. (I haven't my copy of the half blood prince here,so I'm sorry if I've written something wrong..that's what I remember)
