Ever notice how the majority of the time, the title is "something OF something"? Like Chamber OF Secrets, Prisoner OF Azkaban, Goblet OF Fire, Order OF the Phoenix. That's 4 of the 6 so far, so maybe that's why the others sound a bit off???

you're right, I've never noticed that before. Maybe those kind of titles get people in better because you're like whats the order of the pheonix? whats a chamber of secrets? what's in it? Like the titles are always a bit mysterious or something before you've read the book.

Yeh.... it was sort of the same case with every Babysitter's Club novel; it was the character's name and then whatever would happen to them eg. Kristy's Big Idea, Stacey's Secret etc. ... very rarely would it change tact and have something like Poor Mallory! ... it's so sad that i can remember all this.... Anyway, back to Haz. I hope that Jo kills him, only because i feel personally that it'd be more poignant and definately more original for a "children's" (note the inverted commas, there for a reason) hero story to end with the death yet subsequent freedom of it's tortured protagonist... but that's just me. I don't feel Haz has to die to defeat Voldy, i just think that he should die to achieve a proper piece of mind.... depressing, yes, but it's just how i feel... the poor sod would be living under a cloud for the rest of his life regardless of Voldy's being permantly vanquished, i feel... and if he does defeat the bad guy, then he's be living with equal if not more attention that he already endures.... So much has happened... I'm making myself sad!

I'd rather she doesn't kill him... I'd like it if he could defeat Voldemort, and in the process lose all of his powers and become a normal kid. Would you guys like that/hate that?

Actually Jefie yes - you reminded me of a good plot suggestion that i often forget; it would be rather nice for Haz to become "normal' as the end to this magical right of passage..... and it would certainly be a much nicer way to attain freedom than death, so i gotta concede; that idea is much better than mine! And suppossedly the last word is still "scar' so that could have some significance to that theory, in many many ways...

The title sounds weird. What are the Deathly Hallows supposed to be? I thought the last title would be it bit more interesting.

I agree with the comment about Fred and George and how their witty remarks aren't as present in the movies. Fred and George in the movies don't seem like the same people as in the books...

Ya, I don't know about that title either. It doesn't sound very good... Anyway, a lot of people think HP will have to kill himself in order to kill Voldy.. because he's one of the horcruxes. It's a possibility. I'm personally starting to think that Harry's probably going to have to be killed at the end. No matter how much it's going to devastate all those kids.. those poor kids . When's the next book coming out anyway?

I guess in June or July 2007.
I'd really like it if the Potter kid defeats Voldemort without having to die himself and then - a few days later - is killed in a tragic accident. Like falling out of a window while cleaning it. But I suppose that is not the way in which J.K.Rowling intends to finish that book.

;D I thought it was either Harry or Voldemort who dies because of the prophecy thing? But I guess Snape will die, he´s really the only round character in the books!

i heard this really interesting opinion on who was going to die in the 7th book quite a long time ago, but it really opened me up to this. this person went through all this detail about machiavelli's the prince, and relating it to snape (and such things about how they refer to the "half blood prince" as the prince, therefore the book the prince. you know since jk likes to make reference to early literature.) okay so in the book the prince, for those of you if you dont' know, it's about doing whatever you have to do to make it to the top. even if you hurt people on the way it will be worth it. this relates to snape in which how he goes back and forth between being on voldemort's side and dumbledore's. this person gave the idea that snape may rise up at the end and be like the conqueror of the world, so to speak. snape gets friendly on both sides to have them both achieve greatness. but at the end, only he will be standing. he already eliminated dumbledore. then he will sort of help harry out in defeating voldemort (while still being on voldemort's side, to keep him close) then voldemort will be gone, leaving only harry left. then as soon as voldemort is gone, snape kills harry. i mean, this might not happen, but i think it definitely makes a good assumption considering the book the prince and everything. jk always makes twists and this is obviously one of them. it took me a while to digest all this information, because i love harry so i don't want him to die. although there is a very good chance he will. i've learned to deal, but i think this could explain why snape has been allies with both sides. he wants to make friends, learn their ways, then defeat them. they'll never see it coming, and he will then be on top of everyone.

that's an interesting theory! I hadn't thought of that possibility before.

Interesting, but please don't let it happen! I'd rather see Voldemort rule over the world than Snape.
