My favorite was the Nancy Drew series. I still read them sometimes when I'm too tired to read anything heavier. lol. A guilty pleasure of mine. and little women and the secret garden! I love those books, The Secret Garden will always be a favorite.

I loved the secret garden as well but I haven't seen the movie yet. I've also read (and liked) The Little Princess, it was a present from my teachers at the end of my 4th year of school..they were so nice: they bought everyone of us a different book.

I love Wishbone I would watch it on TV everyday, I even had the lunch box! ~ That is so cool Carl3y24. I used to watch it eveyday too. I loved it. I wish I had the lunch box. Where did you get it? But I had the mug. It's was so cute. I wish I still had it. My old grammer school Liberian gave it to me as a X-mas gift. Also had the bookmark.

Has anyone here ever read Mandy by Julie Andrews? She wrote it under her married name Julie Edwards. It's a lovely book and I recommend it to anyone who loved The Secret Garden or A Little Princess. I'd forgotten about it for years , and I picked it up today, and remembered a time when it was a favorite of mine.

I think I read more "Children books" than any other genre, my bookcase are filled with them. Since I don't know the majority of the books' original title or the english translation I'm just gonna write the Norwegian one.
Almost all the Astrid Lindgren books especially Ronja Røverdatter, Brødrene Løvehjerte, Emil fra Lønneberget, Marikken fra Junibakken and Pippi Langstrømpe.
Winnie-the-Pooh and all the poems of A A Milne.
Anne of Green Gables.
Alice's Advetures in Wonderland (though I don't consider it a childrens book).
Most of the Moomin books: Trollvinter, Det Usynelige Barnet, Trollmannens Hatt.
The Elsa Beskow books. They have sush beautiful drawings.
The fairytales of H C Andersen.
Little Women.
