A good idea. I watched them all. They really soured my memories of the books.

I LOVED the Ramona Quimby series and the Mouse and the Motorcycle books by Beverly Cleary and also the books by Judy Blume about Peter and his little brother Fudge. I also read Bunnicula by James Howe so many times that the cover and the first couple pages came off.

I have a great and lasting affection for Angelina Ballerina, as that was the first book i read aloud to my mum entirely on my own, and she was very impressed (i was 5 or 6, which may be late/early for such an achievement.. i don't know!)

There was this book that I read so many times as a kid. It was about an animal that wanted a new mom, but each "new mom" was never like his mom. So he decided that his mom was best after all....I cannot remember what the title was. I can picture the book....wish I knew the title.

Hmm. For a really little kid book, "Guess How Much I Love You" and "The Polar Express". And I when I got older I must have read "Meg Macintosh and the Case of the Missing Babe Ruth Baseball" a thousand times. And I love Roald Dahl, too.

When I was little I ADORED the "Ramona" books by Beverley Cleary and pretty much anything by Judy Blume. When I was in 4th grade we had an assignement to write to someone famous, so I wrote to her. I got an answer too- just a form letter but still... I was also a big fan of the "American Girl" series. Now that I'm oh so old I still go back to the "Anne" books by LM Montgomery (and some of ehr "Emily" books) and classics like Little Women, The Secret Garen, and A Little Princess

*in repsonse to LG's mention of some classic children's lit works* Well, of course! those are utter, utter gems! i think once a fan always a fan where they are concerned. Your tire of them nor outgrow them, and they always take on new meanings.

I loved the American Girl books. Actually, my aunt started calling me and my sisters by our favourite characters. My older sister was Felicity, I'm Kirsten, and my two younger sisters were Molly and Josefina. When I was little the Josefina books were just newly coming out and the girls I babysit for now had an American Girl magazine and there's another new one, Kit. I love those books.

I really like the Royal Diaries. They're diaries written by a historically important princess, before they become historically important. Like Catherine the Great.

So can I. That's what makes them good for when I don't really want to read anything long.
