I believe that Dudley has a playstation in the first book in 1991 even though the playstation was not released until the mid-90s.

Oooooh, good find memccart! Naughty Ms Rowling! Tut tut! But thinking of the books with regards to specific years can make such a difference... for example, in HBP, the opening chap "The Other Minister"... that PM would be.... *goes to check, coz knows it wasn't Blair* Drat... John Smith died in 94 and yet i can't find infop on who did what until Blair in May 97.... me so confused!!! *bangs head against wall* Oh well, no matter!

*Neh returns with thumping headache* Yes, i'm sure you're right Jefie - thankyou for easing my mind on the matter mate... i must lie down now *collapses on floor* Oh! One more question: who has audios of any of the HP books, and do you enjoy them or find them distracting? I personally have Stephen Fry's rendition of PS and i love it, primarily because i love him and he does each character so darn well. Plus, i now have almost every sentence of at least 5 chaps from that novel inserted word-by-word into my brain, thanks to many a late-night listen. I aim to purchase his reading of DH also to tie it all up nicely.

I forgot to mention one thing about OOTP movie: did the huge picture of Cornelius Fudge at the Ministery make anyone else think of 1984 by Orwell? I don't know exactly why, but it immediately reminded me of that book.
