ROTFL ;D That would be priceless! But I think JK made it a point in the last book to show how Ron was becoming more skilled and clever, so I could picture him working for the Ministry, but maybe in a different department?
For Dean and Luna, I think JK might have been trying to show that Luna's circle of friends is expanding to include "normal" people, that even though she'll always be a bit of an eccentric, she's not longer Loony Lovegood.

Yes, good point Jefie. And bookworm, that's a great idea, for Ron as a self-help author, hehe. Although in his case i think a more apt title would be "How to get the girl you want within a ten year time frame"!! Man, that kid was a slow mover!

He he, yeah with Ron it was all about taking baby steps!
As for Dean and Luna, I thought it was really sweet when he turned back and took her hand... It kind of shows that she was no longer 'that girl with the crazy earings' to everyone, that people might have accepted and embraced her eccentricity...

Yes indeed, dear Luna. I love also that she got married much later than the others did - something about her being out alone doing her own thing for a while, it seems very appropriate. Oh! no one has mentioned how utterly sweet and heartbreaking Luna's bedroom was - with the mural on the wall of her 'friends'!!! AWWWWW!

Oh yeah, I had forgotten about that! That was so cute, I wanted to hug Luna and squeeze her! I also wanted to mention how much I loved Neville's tranformation... He became the leader and he stood up and fought, I always wanted to see him like that. He was becoming more courageous ever since Order of the Phoenix but I loved how in the Hogwart's battle he was so not scared and ready to fight! And he finally managed to please his gran!

AND his gran kicked some arse too! Poor old Dawlish - he's always gettin' beat up! If i were him, i'd count myself a pretty bad auror!

Speaking of putting a smile on my face, one thing we haven't really discussed in the journey of the main romantic relationships - H/G and R/Hr. I personally thought "ABOUT BLOODY TIME" when Ron and Hermy finally snogged!! But i did so grinny madly all the while. As for Ginny and Haz, it just had to be in the end - it was always going to be.

I knew that Ron and Hermione would be together in the end, and I was glad that JK decided to put Ginny and Harry together as well. I wasn't as sure if she'd do that as I was with the other relationship

I am still not jumping for joy about the whole Harry/Ginny thing.... I still imagine seeing Bonnie Hunt as Harry's girl friend and it pisses me off. Not to mention the whole Epilogue thing.... As for the Ron and Hermione thing I think I held my breath throughout the whole book until the last hundred pages with a WHOOO! I am glad that they finally got together officially because I felt that I got to see the progression of their romance while others seemed more forced i.e Lupin and Tonks (although i forgive them for it) and of course Harry and Ginny

I like the Harry and Ginny relationship, because Harry has always been apart of the Weasley family, so I think it's great that he officially becomes apart of their family.

I love the Harry/Ginny relationship, too. I always liked Ginny. I actually never really cared about Ron and Hermione being together.

Hey guys! I found an editorial discussing the final words of the book 'All was well.' I think it summarizes my feelings about it and will give those who consider it a little 'they lived happily ever after'-ish a new perspective... I copied this poem from the editorial: Death is nothing at all, I have only slipped away into the next room. I am I, and you are you; whatever we were to each other, that, we still are. Call me by my old familiar name, speak to me in the easy way which you always used, put no difference in your tone, wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow. Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we shared together. Let my name ever be the household word that it always was. Let it be spoken without effect, without the trace of a shadow on it. Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it ever was. There is unbroken continuity. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? I am waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner. All is well. -Death Is Nothing At All by Henry Scott Holland And here is the link if you want to read the whole thing: www.mugglenet.com/editorials/editorials/edit-ganind01.shtml

Yes, i read that article (Mugglenet has some great random essays) and i agree - that poem befits Dumbledore's outlook on death especially, and i think it's also the POV that Harry will take into his life following his experience.

Ooo, I like that poem. And I agree: it works with Dumbledore so well.
