I saw The Golden Compass today and I was disappointed. The book was a lot better. I wasn't impressed with the changes.

I went and saw Atonement today at my favorite theater (it's all old fashioned and makes you feel like you are going to a movie in the 40s). I really like it. I was expecting to be disappointed, but I thought they did a really good job. They stayed pretty true to the book, and when they differed, they did it well. I'm glad I read the book first though. My sister-in-law said she was confused a lot.

I watched Transformers yesterday. I thought it was pretty good until they started to be really dramatic ("you're a soldier now") and I just couldn't take it seriously.

I saw Enchanted the other day. It was fabulous. One of the greatest movies ever. Everyone should go see it.

haha, europe is a lot of fun! I saw Lord of War yesterday, it was actually a really good movie.. and it was really sad at the end... and even thought '30 seconds to mars' really isn't a great band.. jared leto is really nice to look at.. I love Jared Leto - especially in his My So-Called Life days. But yes, 30 seconds to mars is not the greatest band ever.

I watched Jesus Camp. It was very...interesting. And a little scary. Ben and I have made a pact as a result - if the religious right actually takes over the country, we have a serious discussion about moving to Canada or Europe. Any recommendations?

I want to see Dan in Real Life, too!
Nick and I saw American Gangster on Friday. We were both disappointed, especially since (with credits) it was about 2 hours and 50 minutes long...way too long for a bad movie. I wouldn't recommend it. That's too bad, I really like Denzel Washington... Yeah, but Russel Crowe is a horrible person, so you could blame it on him.

Billy Jack....I loved it! My dad took my mom to that movie on one of their first dates (not sure why...), so a few years ago I found it on Amazon and ordered it so that he could give it to her for their anniversary (I always pick out my mom's presents - don't tell her). I still haven't seen it yet.

I just watched Across the Universe. It was such a good movie! Really? I didn't like it that much. It was too long. But the music was great. I just saw An Inconvenient Truth and it was amazing which you all know already because you probably so it ages ago.

I saw Across the Universe. It was really long, and parts of it were really weird. But it was alright. The music was good.

I love the Rock. But I have a soft spot in my heart for Nicholas Cage action films (Conair, Faceoff, etc). Not sure why...
