My university shuttle transportation is actually free and available for the whole city to use, but not many people use it. It follows a route that goes to a few basic places in town outside of campus, and that is probably the reason for this. If we had a route that was more evenly balanced, I bet many more people would use it.

I use canvas shopping bags. They look really cooler than plastic ones! I'd like to have a university shuttle transportation working well. There's public transportation here but it's terrible. Travelling by bus is almost never quicker and it's just a very little cheaper than by car, especially if you live in the countryside (even if gas is so expensive). When I was younger and I used to live in town, I travel a lot by public transportation and it was really a very good system but now many things have changed, there are more bus lines and some are totally useless, plus it's really much more expensive (I still have to understand the reason why here a bus ticket costs 1 euro, as much as a subway ticket in Milano, which is nearly 10 times bigger...). Right now, the best way to travel in the city here is a bicycle, if you live in countryside you have to figure out another way, i personally use a lot the shuttle transportation from the periphery of the city to the center and it's not too bad.

Yeah, I did that awhile ago. Mine is pretty high. I blame my state and my car. I was clicking on the other states and it seemed that Michigan made it the highest. So I try to do other things to offset it.
