At least I've rented An Inconvenient Truth and I'm going to watch it this evening.

I watched An Inconvenient Truth and I think it's absolutely interesting, well-done, very clear and easy to understand. I'm sure many of my friends haven't seen it, probably just because it is not very popular here, and I really want them to watch it. I didn't know that Earth "breathe" before, I mean, I didn't know WHY there's more air pollution during Winter and Autumn and it was good to understand that, here it's Spring now and so it's the inspiring period. I also liked so much the quote mentioned, such as Mark Twain and Upton Sinclair. Most of all I'm really scared by the fact that we can't be sure how global warming will evolve.

I didn't really like Inconvenient Truth because it seemed really biased and contradicted everything I've read about Global Warming. As far as Global Warming goes, I've heard from credited sources both that it's a threat and it's not--I've heard two verified arguments, one for each side--so I can't really believe anything I suppose.

It's hard to buy into the global warming theory when you hear things like the ozone hole shrinking in size. I do however believe that the human civilization has damaged the environment significantly, and we need to do our best to try to stop this from getting any worse.

Have you seen An Inconvenient Truth? It's hard not to buy into it after seeing that movie. You should watch it.

I didn't particularly like An Inconvenient Truth. I don't know what to think about global warming because, while Inconvenient Truth may be persuasive, I've also found many many things saying the exact opposite that are just as credible in their sources etc. So, if there is significant information for and against global warming as a problem, I don't know what to think. I agree with jobean though, that the humans have definitely badly affected the environment.

I watched An Inconvenient Truth about a year ago and it really freaked the crap outta me. But a year's passed and yeah ... you really do hear information from both sides. I don't know what to think about it anymore.

A lot of scientists at work do research on global warming and after reading many of their articles, it is impossible for me not to believe in global warming and that we are the main cause of it. And another thing I do believe in is that there is a lot of pressure out there to distort the facts so that our economy won't be threatened by the efforts to put a stop global warming

Me too. I think if we all did a little bit to change how we affect the environment in a positive way we could really make a difference. My carbon footprint is huge right now because of my car and I hate it. So I try to do other things to offset it a bit.

It gets frustrating when you see how big industries pollute the environment and sometimes it seems like what one individual will do won't account to much, but I agree that if we all did a little something, it would have an impact. For example, just bringing a canvas bag along when you go shopping is a good way to reduce the number of plastic bags out there - plus, they look cool!

I know! I try to do that sometimes but I tend to forget to bring them. Another thing I've been thinking about is all the cardriving and the pollution that follows. I've heard that in some cities they have a car-free day once a year, and also we learned in history that in the seventies when there was an international oil crisis it was illegal to drive a car on Sunday in Norway, everyone was encouraged to take the tram or the bus, even the king was photographed taking the tram! Anyway, my point is if they managed to keep Sundays almost car-free in the seventies then we probably could do it today as well, and that would be great for the environment and for us, because breathing in all that pollution can't be healthy..

Yes, there's a car-free day in Montreal and Quebec City, but it's only the downtown portion of the city (where public transportation is available) that's car-free. But still, maybe someone will take the bus to work that day and realize that it's actually faster and cheaper than going by car and stick to it afterwards, who knows?

I definitely think that humans have an impact on the earth, but I also think that some of the global warming is being caused by natural things. I know we have some days about using less gas and stuff. I don't drive much as it is because I have no where to go or be, but I know that gas isn't the only thing I use that does harm to the earth. I try to recycle, but you can't recycle everything unfortunately.

I always forget my canvas shopping bags at home, too. I should really just leave them in my car.
I drive a lot, but I really have no choice. There is no public transportation to take. I actually do take a bus everyday but just from a commuter lot that I drive to because there is no good parking downtown. So a gas free or car free day wouldn't really work. I would love to take public transportation - I enjoyed being able to take the bus or train to work everyday in San Francisco. It's cheaper, better for the environment, and I can read while getting to work.
