I'm going to work at an old people's home this summer. Here that is the easiest way to get a job, they are always in lack of people and seem to be taking in anything. I don't exactly look forward to it, I've been working at old people's homes before and know what to expect, but I need the money if I'm gonna spend next spring in the US, so it has to do:D

Let's see.... I am on my 2nd degree so I will divide this up into 1st college and 2nd college.
1st college: I was working on my English degree and worked 3-4 jobs throughout. I worked at a shoe store full time as the assistant manager, I worked at a coffee shop part time, also as the assistant manager, I worked at Hallmark part time, I worked the desk staff (midnight shift) in one of the residence halls, and I worked a few days as a maid. Yes, all at once. I was a busy bee. I worked between 60 and 70 hours a week, plus school.
The second time: Now I teach college English and have a child so I don't work nearly as much. I wouldn't want to miss her. I do also have a small online business that I do in my spare time. I occasionally substitute teach too.

wow, 60 - 70 hours a week, you worked a lot Melissa!
As every summer since I was 18, I'm going to work in a factory (always the same). This year we will probably start later than usual, at the beginning of August, but I really hope the job will last like every other year.

Hope the job works out for you I´m helping with the student parliament election this week so I won´t be totally broke! And I´m playing guinea pig for the psychology students for memory studies etc. which only pays 3-20 euros once but it´s relatively interesting and it pays for going to the cinema

Sounds good, I never thought playing a guinea pig meant going to the cinema I started a tutoring job with a 17 years old, who have to take exams of Maths and Physics in August. It's better than what I expected, so far. Also, the librarian is on vacation these two weeks and I have three mornings a week working there.

I only have 2 more days of working at the Learning Center! Yayie! It's been fun, but I'm ridiculously tired of helping people with their math homework, especially since it's mostly Consumer Ed. I've had to learn how to do everything with them because I never took a Consumer Ed class. Now I know more than I want to about loans, taxes, credit cards, retirement plans, time zones, physical fitness, mortgages, AYP, etc. It's such a random collection of information...

I tutor students in the afternoon and in the morning I teach in a school so this is a busy summer but I don't really mind: I have to finish my dissertation this summer so I couldn't really go away for a lot of time!

I hate working as much as I do because it gives me no time to hang out on this board, and I miss it sooo much! (other than that work is ok, but how anyone can work at old people's homes for their entire career is beyond me.)

Well I have a career diploma in Child Day Care Management. When I was in High school I took a class called ROP and I helped out in a classroom at an elementary school. That was when I knew I wanted to work with children. I also have a career diploma in photography. Both of theses diploma's are from a career school. I now attend University of Phoenix online. I am working on my AA degree. I finished my first year. I am about to start my second year. I am majoring in Education. I would like to be a teacher. As for my job I work at an elementary school I work with the A Plus after school prgram. I love my job. The kids are great The hours are good and the pay is good as well. I feel I am making a difference in these kid's lives.

I've now been working at Best Buy (electronics store for those who don't know) for TWO years now, as of yesterday. I never expected to be anywhere for that long, let alone at my first ever job. But that means I get a raise, so yay, haha.
