Well, I thought I'd join in with my 10 6. I'm not really good at small talk. I never know what to say! 7. I like to pile things up. Like papers I got from classes with information on them, or instructions or whatever. I'll just pile them up instead of throwing them away . Once a year I do a big clean up though. 10. I like to buy shoes. I also buy shoes a lot! I don't know why, but when I see a pair that I like, and they are comfortable, i just want to buy them! I agree with these ones. I always buy shoes when I see cute ones which I can afford. I have a special drawer for papers and at the end of the school year I throw them away. I'm not a big fan of small talk either. Mostly during those situations I talk about stupid things that don't make sense at all. But I'm getting better at it, even though I hate it. :<

I'm like that as well! Sometimes I almost wonder if I have some sort of social disorder, because everyone else seems to be able to come up with stuff to talk about. I wish I could take a course or read a book or something... My attempts of small talk often sound scarily much like an interrrogation... Yes, exactly! I wonder if I have a social disorder as well! I'm 'glad there are more that feel that way! But I know more people have that problem, because when I'm alone with that person I'm the one that has to try to keep the conversation going... so I'd rather hang out with someone who has a lot to talk about, so I don't have to do all the heavy thinking I also talk about things that make no sense when I have nothing else to talk about. Then when I say it, I regret it immediatly! I wonder if there is a book about it...

That sounds really familiar... Small talk is really difficult. I don't want to just chat something stupid and give a bad first impression. And I have noticed that making friends is bit hard when you don't know how to start talking

I do that a lot. I never really used to be good at making friends. Not until last year at least. Now, it's a little bit easier for me to talk to people but not that much easier.

Somehow I can sometimes just chat with people, but they never become friends, more like acquintances.. (how is that spelled? )

I think it's spelled acquaintances. I have a spell check thing on my computer so I cansadly always tell. You just forgot the a. But that's the same with me. Sometimes I make friends, but most of the time I don't.

I have so many "hi, how are you - friends" and then we just run out of things to say. I know right. Last week a friend called me and she was at a birthday of her friend. And I got to talk to him on the phone, told him congratulations etc. and then there was this awful silence. so I started blabbing about stupid subjects and how it's like to be 18. He's a nice guy, but I had nothing to say to him. XD

That happens to me too. I hate talking to people on the phone because of all of the awkward silences. I always hope my friends have a lot to say so I don't feel bad.

I'm totally afraid of awkward silences, so often I end up blabbing stuff and then feel really stupid later. That's happened way too many times... And also if I'm talking to a person who just won't shut up (like my boss), I don't know what to say, when all I really want to do is go home... I usually end up staying 15 mins overtime at work because of her. (well that was just two things about me... )

Well, that's pretty much the same thing for me. I say things that not to long later, I just hope so much that the person I said it to would never remember. It can feel so embarrassing.
I don't have a boss but I luckily never have that situation happen to me for any reason. I'm glad too because it seems really annoying. I feel bad for you.
