First of all, best wishes to you Florence (anyone remember Emily Gilmore saying you can't say congratulations to the bride?). And good luck planning everything. Second, I would like to play... 1) I've been taking ballet classes for over 20 years and still not any good at it 2) I've been attending the same school for 6 years. I got a B.A. in Psychology and I am working towards my J.D. at the University of Michigan. It also happens to be 10 miles from where I grew up, so I'm pretty ready to move. 3) I absolutely love baseball. Especially my awesome Detroit Tigers. 4) I got married at 21 to a boy I've known since I was 14. 5) I can't cook. 6) I have a newly developed fear of flying. 7) My best friend and I get Buffy the Vampire Slayer from the library and watch it every day during our lunch break. 8) My brother and I are both adopted so we look nothing alike (he's Colombian and I have blonde hair (well, naturally), blue eyes, and freckles). It's really funny to see people try to figure out my family. 9) My dad taught me how to read when I was 4 so I credit him for my passion for reading. 10) I'm going to San Francisco this summer to work for a youth law center for 10 weeks.

I love that there is a fellow Michigander here! Even if you have left us. I'm still a Michigander at heart (and I had fun wearing my Tigers shirt around when we beat the Yankees in the playoffs last year!)

I'm not from Michigan but I'm a UM over OSU fan who's from Ohio haha Despite the pressure of everyone I know (Nick mostly). You prolly know where I live if I say it's about 20 miles south of Toledo. Yeah, it takes me about an hour to get to Toledo, so we're not that far away. And good job choosing a side. I honestly dislike anyone I see in Ohio State gear - it's something I should work on.

haha My town is divided, but not in a die-hard way. I would be so scared to watch the UM v. OSU game, especially in Columbus because if they lost, I would think I'd die. I have friends going to OSU, none going to UM, but o well...I still like UM more

I'm terrified of Columbus. I would never watch the game there - even though I have friends from there (one of my friends transferred to UM Law this year from OSU). I went to East Lansing to watch the UM/MSU game once and that was a little scary. I've got to think Columbus is 10 times worse.

Thanks for your congretulations lu, Kristie and memmcart! I don't remember the comment of Emily Gilmore Memmcart, but I'm watching my GG dvd's at the moment, so maybe I'll find the episode soon, lol! Kristie, then our birthdays are very close together! Mine's august 30, so just 5 days after my wedding. Dominique, you asked what season it will be in August over here. It will be the end of the summer, and I hope it will be beautifull wheater. For the reception, diner and party we have this beautiful house on the lake with a big terrace, so i hope we can be outside.... Memmcart: so you are also studying law? I know Dominique is, and I've got my LL.M. Is it an internship that you're going to do in the youth law centre?

I'm pretty sure it is the episode where Richard and Emily renew their vows. Yes, I am studying law - although not particulary enjoying it at the moment. And yes, it is an internship for the summer between my second and third year. I think I may want to practice in the youth advocacy area, so I'm looking forward to giving it a try this summer. Or else I may do something unrelated to law and try to find a way to justify the $100,000 degree.

Thanks Kristie! Maybe I can post some pictures after the wedding. No, we haven't decided where to go on our honeymoon yet. Suggestions anyone? Whow, memmcart, that's a lot of money! I have the feeling that it is way more expensive to study in the US then in Europe!

Lots of people, at least the ones that get married that I know, like to go to tropical places, but where I want to go when Nick and I get married, years in the future, would be an Alaskan cruise. We would both rather go to Alaska than Hawaii, and a cruise would be really nice. That's what I think for now, but I'm sure in the next 3-4 years I could change my mind.

My law degree is going to cost roughly $50 000 An Alaskan cruise sounds great Kristie! My grandparents have been on one of those before.
