I love my book journal. It's funny because it's just a normal notebook like you'd use for school and it is a little "used" looking. Well, a lot "used" looking. But that's why I like it. I'll probably just buy another notebook for the next one, but maybe a more sturdy one. Lu, It's great that you'd like to start a book journal. Have you since you wrote that over 2 months ago? I have. I've added a short summary of each books I've read and I'm also planning to write summaries of books I've read before 2 months ago, when I have some free time. Also I will buy another notebook, because the old is half-destroyed , and I'd like to make a nicer book journal.

I recently tried to start a book journal, but I don't think I'm going to be very good at keeping it.

I think they are you can look back at what you read and what you though of them and it gives you more of a visual of what youve read.

I also like compiling my favourite quotes in mine and having an account of everything I've read so far this year

I have a spreadsheet for the list of books I've read and a TBR list. Then I have my book journal. It gets the normal entries from books but it also is where I write any quote that I like. It ends up having sticky notes just stuck in and some papers just taped in. It ends up sort of looking like a scrapbook, but it's not.

I usually keep track of the books I've read but it's usually just the pages. Sometimes if the book as a real impact on my be it good or bad I will write about it.
