I just keep a list of the books I've read and rate them on a scale of 1-5, but I don't write anything about them. That's a good idea though.

I recieved this Book journal today, and I love it!!! It's exactly what I wanted. It's really nice, and I love the lists of awards and recommendations. Amazon was really quick to send it to. They said 1-3 months and I recieved it in a few weeks. I'm really happy....lol

Hey! I'd love to talk about Crime and Punishment. Our class just had a whole discussion about "The Extraordinary Man Theory" Raskolnikov's belief that he is above the law. In the end though he realizes that he is but an average man because his crime does affect him.

I'd like to write a book journal, I think I'll try to do that! I don't have a real book journal, I only have a list of the books I read, I signed ones I liked with a star and I wrote some quotes I liked (if there are any) from books. I've never thought to write a summary to remember what a book ia about and it's absolutely a great idea!

I love my book journal. It's funny because it's just a normal notebook like you'd use for school and it is a little "used" looking. Well, a lot "used" looking. But that's why I like it. I'll probably just buy another notebook for the next one, but maybe a more sturdy one. Lu, It's great that you'd like to start a book journal. Have you since you wrote that over 2 months ago?

I use a Moleskine notebook and try to keep lists on my computer so I can answer to threads like "books read this month"

Yea i have a normal looking book journal as well. it's a mable black and white notebook with the words "Book Catalog" written in permanent marker. I have my TBR list and a list of books i've read as well along with their dates and the names of the author. It is catalogued by months.

I use an ordinary notebook. I always write down the title, the date (of the day I finished it), a few lines about the content and the things I liked or didn't like.

I've made a goal to read a book originally published for every year since 1800...just something weird I've thought of
What a nice idea! This might be something for me, too. It means making lists and searching for books. ;D
