when i was in grammar school i liked a book.. i forgot the name of it, it had a really silly title . . and 2 girls made fun of me for reading and for the title of the book. it was one of the rare time someone made me fun n it upset me so much! i would act like i hated reading for so long after that. i went home and told my mom and she said to proud of what i like. i ended up putting a book cover on it, which didnt work. now i read all the time regardless of the title! but i will always remember that day

I liked the babysitter's club books as a child as well, but I recently attempted to reread one that I remembered as being my favorite, and found it dreadful.
I'm in love with Anne Rice books, I'm not ashamed of liking them really, but I won't bring them to work. I get too many ridiculous questions ie. "so.. you uh believe in vampires". Honestly.

I sometimes read books for preteens. I only like to read them because they bring back a ton of memories. =D
