Last night I got about halfways into The Age of Innocence. I remember someone else here just read it, but I can't remember who. Anyway, I like it a lot so far. I like all three of the main characters, so I can't really say how I'm hoping things will turn out. For some reason, I've really come to like Edith Wharton. That´s such a great book! Edith Wharton is an amazing writer, I find her stories very captivating

Im making my way through the Sookie Stackhouse series. Im currently reading All Together Dead. Im not sure how im feeling about this one, the series is not as exciting as it used to be. I hope it gets better! Oh, I know! I'm not sure if I want to read Dead and Gone now... even though it's suposed to give us a lot of Eric...

I hate when the final books are not as great as the first books.

I just want to say that I've read about 50 page of All Quiet on the Western Front and it's excellent so far, very powerful, and I can't wait to discuss it!

Isa, I am also really 'enjoying' All quiet on the western front. (I don't think enjoy is a good word for this story..) I went through the chapters without having to strugle to keep my attention to the book. Eric is my favorite! I have a huge crush on him! Me too! So now i do want to read Dead and Gone some day, because it gives us Eric's backstory! I'm gonna wait until I can find a paperback version that fits the rest of the books (there are two different type of covers, and even though the ones with the picture of the girl is prettier, I have all the others with the ugly drawings )

I don't want to discourage you, but "Tender is the Night" is one of those rare books I gave up on about halfway through the novel...

I'm a couple hundered pages into The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck. I'm sorry to say it's a little slow moving for my tastes. I've never been a big Steinbeck fan even though I feel I should be because he's one of the "greats" of American literature.

I really liked East of Eden but I didn't like Of Mice and Men and so forth. I like his writing style, but sometimes I just can't get into the story. And I love his descriptions of California, especially because I live here.

But I think (if I remember correctly) once you get more into the backstory of the couple, it gets more interesting. Don't give up!

I read about about 90 pages of Revolutionary Road and I think it's simply brilliant. I loved Easter Parade, but this one turns out to be even better.

I have about 100 pages left of Tintentod (Inkdeath) by Cornelia Funke and I'm enjoying it. I have to admit it: I'm in love with the Black Prince. ;D
