I only have 162 pages left in War and Peace! Just Part 15 and the epilogue. Yay I'm slowly reading North and South. I'm really enjoying it but I don't have much time now and I read no more than one chapter a day.

I think I am about 250 pages into The Count of Monte Cristo, which is a great book, and theoretically so exciting that I shouldn't be able to put it down, but since I have so much to do at school nowadays, the book has to wait.

I'm reading "Death Comes for the Archbishop" and it's good, but I keep getting confused between the two main characters, which is pretty annoying...

50 pages left of war & peace! I'm really counting them down! I already read the afterword and I sort of know what is different from other versions.. They went back to one of the first manuscripts that Tolstoy made. Which has a happier ending. So I hope he hadn't written those awful 40 pages yet, that you have in your book, Michelle!

I hope so, too.
I've been "reading" Pride and Prejudice for the last month or so (but not really). I love it and it's a reread so it should be fun, but I'm struggling to concentrate on it. So I'm reading The Jane Austen Book Club to try and motivate myself.
I'm also in the middle of Under the Banner of Heaven by Jon Krakauer but I haven't picked it up in a month or so.
I need to learn how to read one book at a time and actually finish it.

I'm about 300 pages into Stieg Larsson's The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and I must say, it really isn't blowing me away. It's not bad, but so far I don't see the difference between that book and other detective novels so I can't explain its popularity...

It's not bad, but so far I don't see the difference between that book and other detective novels so I can't explain its popularity... Last year during my internship at a magazine, the editor of books & art and the editor of games & cars were discussing the books from Stieg Larsson and how awesome they are. So they always stayed on my mind... but I have no idea what they thought was so brilliant about them.. Maybe it will get better? I am reading Lost in a good Book by Jasper Fforde and I really like it . I feel bad for Landen though.. and Miss Havisham is a great character! (In the book, I haven't read Great Expectations..) All the booktraveling looks like fun!

All the booktraveling looks like fun! You just have to love Miss Havisham in Fforde´s books ;D Nearly halfway through The Magicians. It´s really good, not fantastic but fun. And I´m a sucker for campus novels.

I´m enjoying The Behaviour of Moths. It´s going to be creppy I can tell. There´s just this feeling of "uh oh" all the time

Last night I got about halfways into The Age of Innocence. I remember someone else here just read it, but I can't remember who. Anyway, I like it a lot so far. I like all three of the main characters, so I can't really say how I'm hoping things will turn out. For some reason, I've really come to like Edith Wharton.
