I have an idea for a fun thread (at least I think it will be fun!)
Write a few sentences in any language you know and then translated into English (so we all know what you've said)
I love to read other languages, but it's even more fun when I know what it says!

Allichu liwru Maykapas Kaphiy Ukuyay noqa koy.
That was Quechua for "Please give me the book Drinking Coffee Elsewhere." Probably not very grammatically correct, since Quechua is turning out to be a bit difficult to learn by myself;) In Norwegian the same sentence would be like this:

LOL Halie at the pig latin!
Those are neat letters in the Norwegian sentences Hanna! How does the a with a circle over it sound?

å is pronounced pretty much like the o in more. The Norwegian alphabet actually have three more letters than the English, and å is our very last one.

I speak Spanish also. I like languages as well and I would like to learn many more! I can speak a little bit of French but I haven't studied it for three years. I need to go back and study French. I would like to buy the Rosetta Stone programs so that I can learn French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Chinese, Russian, and many more.

(I also want to learn more French but it seems very dificult. My profesor says that Rosetta Stone is really good but is expensive.) Sorry for the lack of accents! I was able to learn French pretty easily because I already knew Spanish (They are very similar). This is why I think you won't have any problem with French. Yeah, Rosetta Stone is really expensive (About $500 for the complete program!) It would be a huge investment.

French is my second language and I don't find it difficult at all (for my level... looking back at that paragraph ^ I can see mistakes!). Maybe it's because it's so beautiful and I love it. But really, don't be intimidated. French is beautiful and worthwhile to learn, even if you don't live in an area of the world where it's widely spoken. I live much closer to Tijauna, Mexico than any major US city, but I still took French. Yo hablo espanol sort of. Me amo espana. In French, when someone speaks brokenly like this, we say "tu parle comme une vache espagnol", which means, you speak like a Spanish cow. Idioms are so weird. This site has a lot of explanations of French food idioms, if you're into that: chocolateandzucchini.com/

I've had five years of French and I still can't speak and write it properly! Probably because I haven't used it in three years. so, that was dutch

Dutch is a bit like German, is it not? I can recognize a few words.
