It would have bugged me to see a Chinese movie dubbed in English, I was glad for the subtitles. Because you know how Chinese voices don't sound like English voices, at all, so that would've totally bugged me.

So this is probably a really stupid question, but in other countries, do the computer keyboards have the same set up? I mean, are the letters in the same places? Like in the US we use the QWERTY keyboard (that's just the top left six letters in a row). This prolly seems stupid, but like in France or Germany do they have keys for the letters with accents and umlauts? Because we don't ever put accents on anything so we don't have them.

In Quebec we use a French configuration on the QWERTY keyboard, so all the accents are there, but the letters are the same as in English. In France they have a French keyboard - All the letters that are most often used in French are on the first row, and those that aren't used as much are on the bottom row. So for example, W is at the bottom. It really takes a while getting used to it!

That sounds so strange. I would never have thought there were different kinds of keyboards.

In guess the German keyboard is pretty similar to yours, except for the place of two letters. Our first row is QWERTZ. Z and Y are interchanged because we use Z much more often than Y. And I think we have all the accents and of course the umlauts.

that's so weird. i thought that the keyboards would be a lot different because of the letters used more in certain languages. i can't even imagine what a chinese or japanese keyboard looks like...whoa

What are gas prices like in your countries? In my city it's about $2.20 right now. (Roughly 1.70 Euros, 2.60 Canadian dollars, or 2.80 Australian dollars...yeah, I'm bored) Or do you guys actually use ethanol or something more efficient than gas? Whenever something bad happens in the Middle East, gas prices jump, at least here.

It's around $1.00 right now in Quebec, but that's for a liter, not a gallon (takes about 4 liters to make a gallon). So yeah, gas is expensive over here too.

The gas price is insane, I think it´s around 1,20 euros per litre. For diesel!! It´s a bit cheaper in the Netherlands for my parents and luckily I don´t have a car. Gas prices are great in the US for reasons better not mentioned.

Gas prices in Austria are slightly cheaper than in Germany: around Euro 1 for a litre of diesel at the moment. I have a car, but I commute by train (which is also cheaper here than in Germany). I remember when I bought my car (6 years ago) a litre of diesel was just Euro 0.625!!!

I had no idea the US had cheaper than everywhere else. But I guess it seems more money because we forget you pay the amount shown for litres, not gallons. And the US does have it's own oil reserves and stuff, that just got hurt my Katrina. I remember when it was actually cheaper to buy diesel than gas a few months ago. Usually diesel is $1 more than gas, but it was cheaper which meant something was going wrong. I need to fill up my car when I'm done with work. The price went down $0.09 since Thursday and $2.17 is a good deal now. I looked online and it's in the $2.40s in NYC. Public transportation prolly saves those who don't wanna pay for all the taxi drivers. I feel bad when I get someone to deliver food to my house because of the tip not even being able to give them gas.
