Persuasion by Jane Austen would be a good idea. There are a lot of different positions people take in regards to each characters choices and opinions.

What is 1984 about? I think was written in 1948 and was predicting life in 1984--is that right?

I'm pretty sure I won't read David Copperfield if that's what's chosen. I wouldn't mind reading it any other time, but 800+ pages when I already have a lot of reading for school just won't happen lol

I think I'd like 1984 or one of the lesser known Bronte works as well. The ones suggested so far sound good, I've already read The Tenant of Wildfell Hall and I'd be interested reading Vilette and Agnes Gray but another possibility could be Shirley by Charlotte Bronte.
1984 could be good because we haven't really done a book anything like it so far,

Although Vilette is pretty long so I don't know how we would be able to break it up

I would love to read and discuss Alice in Wonderland. I just got a nice annotated edition and I want to read it since Tim Burton is making it into a new movie.

Oh that's cool! Tim Burton makes really visually exciting movies. I bought Alice in Wonderland and haven't gotten around to reading it yet. That would be a great book club pick as well...

Love in the Time of Cholera (which is on my shelf waiting to be read) or a bronte works sound good to me. Also 1984, I'd like to re-read it and I think it'd be a great book to discuss.

I just bought Alice and Wonderland, and I'm really excited to read it! I think Persuasion and 1984 are good ideas as well.

I have Alice in Wonderland and I've read it before, but it'd be good to discuss I think. I also have Love in the Time of Cholera on my shelf, TBR sometime...

I'd like to re-read 1984, it's one of my favorite books I'd also like to read David Copperfield, I've read Oliver Twist and I loved it. But everything is good, because I haven't read much, so almost every book is new and interesting for me

I think I would like to read one of Jane Austen's books.. I've only read Sense and Sensibility by her and I loved her style..

I think an Austen book would be good. I really want to reread Pride and Prejudice, and I just bought the Annotated version...but any Austen I'm willing to read.
