Ya, she tends to do that with the titles a lot. And I totally realized that before too. lol.

I voted that Harry is still alive at the end of the 7th book because I really want him to survive! I also think that, if Harry dies , JK Rowling will be sure that her books and the story she created will be safe! :)But I hope he will finally defeat Voldemort and survive too! It'll be great if she'll write a history of Hogwarts!

That's true, if he dies she doesn't run the risk of other authors trying to pick the character up. I have a feeling that's gonna be a persuasive consideration to her. Poor Harry

I visited JKRowling's official site yesterday(jkrowling.com) and in the FAQ section I found this answered question: Q:"The prophecy Harry hears in Dumbledore's office suggests to me that both he and Voldemort will have to die, is that true?" A:"Both Madam Trelawney and I worded the prophecy extremely carefully and that is all I have to say on the subject!" What does it means?? There's something I didn't understand...

I've got a feeling that killing Harry wouldn't prevent people who really want to write sequels to do it. They could come up with some kind of story that goes "look, he wasn't dead after all"!
As for the prophecy, I guess we'd have to analyze it together, maybe we could come up with something. I don't remember where it is in the book, if anyone could look it up and type it on here, that would be great!

oki...here it is (page .741 in HP5) Sybill Trelawney: The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches...born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies...and the dark Lord will mark him as his equal, but he will have power the Dark Lord knows not...and EITHER MUST DIE AT THE HAND OF THE OTHER FOR NEITHER CAN LIVE WHILE THE OTHER SURVIVES...

Even if JK kills Harry I don't doubt there would be other books written. I mean, in the first book, everyone thought that Voldemort was dead. But he came back. So couldn't Harry "die" and come back?

I'm probably the lone dissenter, but I feel HP should die at the end of the last book. I was so fed up with him in the last two books that it feels sort of satisfying if he gets killed. Sick, I know, but for me the last two books were big disappointments and HP developed into quite an irritating character IMO. Also Hermione seemed to act out of character (where has the girl gone that always cared for others most?). Of course I'll read the final book, too, just to know how it all ends, but my enthusiasm of the first 4 books is gone. To me it seems like JKR lost her creativity after that, but I'd love to hear different opinions from people who enjoyed books 5 and 6.

Hp 5 was really a chore with how Harry was acting but in the 6th book it was much better, apparently he was done screaming and stuff. I loved the first few books much better and I would´ve been happy to read more about the magical world and the classes instead of this prophecy drama.

Yeah, I missed reading about the magical world, too. Somehow there was nothing new or suprising, no new magical conecpts or facettes. It's like she has established it all in the previous books and now only works with the characters.

Yeah, I've noticed how it's more characters' adventures rather than even mentioning anything that they're learning, seeing as they are at school. In the beginning it was school plus adventures, but now just adventures. I miss learning about wizardry stuff!

I agree it's kind of moved away from that side in favour for soap opera ish stuff and prophesies
