I'm worried that Huckabee is staying in to try for the Vice Presidency, which really worries me. I don't dislike Hilary, but I'm not voting for her in the primaries for many reasons. One of the reasons is that I don't think our country should be controlled by just two families for so long (Bush, Clinton, Bush, Clinton). I will vote for Hilary over McCain though. And I'm not worried about Bill's role. Our economy was excellent when he was president, and I don't mind what role he plays in advising her. I don't think there's too much to worry about with him though, Hilary is very strong and it will be her presidency, not Bill's. But personally, I hope it's Obama's presidency.

Annak, I really agree with you on the Clinton campaign's attacking Obama. I think it says something when you have to stoop low to do that. I realize mudslinging will happen, and I'm not saying that Obama is perfect in his campaigning (although I haven't personally seen anything wrong...that part of a speech he got from a friend's speech deal was petty).
Zelda, I didn't mean that it would be a bad thing if Bill helped Hillary if it came off that way. I just meant that I would sort of feel like I'm voting for him because he's such a big part of her campaign. I actually think that if she won and had him be her VP they'd do well (although I prefer Obama). And I agree about the two families being in power for so long...it would be at least 24 years split between two families if she won. That would seem a little aristocratic/tyrannic to me.

There's no way she could get away with him being her VP though - that's like the most extreme form of nepotism ever. I do think it would be good for her to have him by her side though - and since she's been at his side, she already knows how a lot of it works. I think Obama has been very civil - the best politician I've ever seen - during this campaign. That's one of the main things I like about him. He's just a different kind of politician. Kristie, you better make sure you vote - Ohio is going to be close.

Oh, I know it's going to be close. I'm very excited about voting because it might actually make a difference! Nick says he won't vote, but he would for Obama if he did. Since we'll be home on Spring Break and he doesn't have to vote absentee I'm going to try really hard to make him go. He's convinced he won't matter, but I keep telling him that thousands of other people thinking they won't matter all add up

He isn't doing the mudslinging that Clinton is resorting to. I think this is one of the reasons I like his personality better than hers

Ugh - why can't he just give up. He takes votes away from the Democrat and is the reason Bush won in 2000.

Honestly, I think for him it's just a little publicity stunt. Why else would you try to come in so late in the race. Although I've heard rumors that Mike Bloomberg might be running as well

Bloomberg would help because he would take some of the Republican's vote and even it out.

He's convinced he won't matter, but I keep telling him that thousands of other people thinking they won't matter all add up Nothing personal to him, but I think it's a really, really bad (and common) mistake people make. You life in a democracy, you have to be glad to live in a country where you have the right to vote. The idea of a democracy is that *everyone* together have to vote for the leader. Not voting sounds kind of disrespecting democracy to me. Anyway, it looks like Obama is going to be the democratic nominee. Clinton has to do really well at the march 4 primaries if she still wants to have a chance. According to FOXNews.com, he right now is up +7.3% against Clinton. I think there is a huge chance that Obama will be the next president if he wins the democratic nomination (which is most likely to happen ...too bad for Chuck Norris).

I'm nervous too! I went and voted today though. Apparently I'm a registered Democrat when I thought I was still Independent, but whatever. I always lean to the left so it's the better of the two sides for me to belong to. I'm just not sure if I like not having the choice of which side

I'm very sad with the outcomes of the primaries in Ohio and Texas. CNN (TV) had earlier that Obama had 1,451 and Clinton had 1,365 total delegates. I don't know if this is true now though, but at least he was in the lead earlier.
***Just checked CNN.come and Obama has 1,321 pledged delegates and Clinton has 1,186.

I have a question for anyone who can answer it. It's impossible for Obama or Clinton to get the 2,025 delegates to win the nomination, even if Obama (who's in the lead) gets every single delegate left. How is it decided then?
