Summer of my Amazing Luck. The story started off really good, but I felt like there was a lack of plot.

Puddn'head Wilson by Mark Twain. I thought it wasn't as well written as some of his other novels; Twain wrote it during his "dark period", when he was criticized for being too pessimistic. But I still enjoyed it because it's definitely a novel that makes you think about topics like slavery and racism.

I finished reading Love in the Time of Cholera..it was slow at parts but an overall good read. I can't believe all the women Florentino slept with and the part when he is 70 and starts sleeping with his 14 year old ward is still really really disturbing... YUCK!

I just finished Wrong About Japan by Peter Carey. It was really enjoyable, I thought it interesting how Carey kind of showed the misunderstandings and misinterpretations westerner's have of Japanese culture through an exploration of anime movies and interviewing the director's of the movies about what they really meant. I'm going to try to write a review of it when I get back from the Drs. Then tonight I am starting the Virgin Suicides (thanks neh).

"Gold Diggers of 1929: Canada and the Great Stock Market Crash". Not something I would normally read, but it was very informative and very well written so I enjoyed it.
