Finished Dead Souls. I'm not sure if I understood all of it, so I look forward to discussing it!

Is there a reading schedule for that book yet? When will we start posting?
I finished Pippi Longstocking by Astrid Lindgren yesterday. It was cute and funny. Definitely a book I'll read to my kids.

Right before I read it, I looked into it a bit. I had no idea that it was written so long ago (1950!) or that the author was Swedish.

Last night I finished The Handsome Road by Gwen Bristow. I liked it and I'm gonna read something else by her sometime soon.

Girls' Guide to Hunting and Fishing - I really enjoyed it. I thought it was really well written, I liked the change of style and perspective once in a while. Not so sure about the ending, it felt like a weird place to stop, but maybe that's just because I could have gone on reading that book a little while longer!

The Summer in Paris by Morley Callaghan. It was good - I enjoyed it. It was interesting to get a look at the lost generation writers and the glamorous but troubled lives they lived. It reinforces my view of loving their prose but not their person.
