This isn't a big story, but i do want to know what people's thoughts are on it. Anyone who watches football knowes Michael Vick was a football player for the Atlanta Falcons until he got cought dogfighting in his home, which went on for 5 years. He went to prison and then was place under house arrest. He is now signed with the Philadelphia Eagles as a quaterback.
Now here comes the qestion. Do you think Vick should play football again? Do you think he deserves a second chance? Or do you think he shouldn't be allowed to play?

I don't think he deserves a second chance. He shouldn't be allowed back into the NFL. What he did was sick, wrong and inhumane.

Well, considering the NFL has taken back players who got arrested for doing drugs and carrying guns and what not, I'm not surprised they've taken him back as well... I guess someone could argue that he's done his time and he's allowed to get a job once he gets out of prison, just like any other man. So in that sense yes, I do think he deserves a second chance. The one thing that bugs me is that young kids might look up to him, so hopefully he'll make sure to send out the message that what he did was really wrong.

I was talking to my mom this morning and we thought that a percentage of his pay should go to the ASPCA, or some organization that helps animals. That way he gets his second chance, a job playing football, and it helps other animals that were abused.

I was talking to my mom this morning and we thought that a percentage of his pay should go to the ASPCA, or some organization that helps animals. That way he gets his second chance, a job playing football, and it helps other animals that were abused. Hmm, that is a very good idea. |
