Lightness does exist! I think there's a book called The Unbearable Lightness of Being. But I think easiness might be your word. LOL The correct term is ease, I think.

My edition of the War and Peace has 964 pages. I'm currently halfway through The Princess Diaries VIII : After Eight by Meg Cabot. The first half of the book went really quickly, about an hour. I was reading the Dutch version, maybe they need less words? It was also a modern translation, very easy to read. When they are not on the warfield. I stopped reading the Princess Diaries at book 6. What else happens? (In short.. haha) She still togethere with.. ehm.. Michael? (was that his name?)

^Me too! The last book I read he was in college and they were together. And Lily was freaking out, as per usual. LOL

I like A Prayer For Owen Meany a lot. I especially like how the novel is connected to the history of the US: Owen Meany is great in giving comments on the war in Vietnam.

But this book was all about Mia and Michael. Michael was offered an internship in Japan for a year (or more) and Mia freaked out. Then she got into her mind that Michael is leaving because they haven't had sex together and maybe if they did, he wouldn't leave. When they were going to do it, Michael said to Mia that she wont be the first for him, because of that Mia broke up with him. Lily and her boyfriend J.P. had problems also. Basically J.P. broke up with Lily to be with Mia, and the same day Michael was leaving and L& J.P. broke up, Mia and J.P. kissed. Of course Michael, who wanted to get back together with Mia before he leaves, saw that and he walked away. Mia tried to get to the airpot to apologize for everything, but she was too late. And Lily found out about the kiss, so that friendship was also over. Sorry if this was too long and confusing, but with my English skills, it's the best I could do.

I've never read the series. Is it pretty good? I read these kind of books ( The Princess Diaries, Gossip Girl), because they are easy to read and understand. Plus, they go fast. I also like the whole idea of some ordinary high school student, who just turns out to be a princess! ;D

I'm halfway through The Road by Cormac McCarthy. I really like this book! I love, how the author uses so short sentences, but is able to give the reader so much - the scenery, the emotions.

So in the end everything was a mess?

I'm reading Shopaholic Takes Manhattan. While reading the first Shopaholic book, there was no similarity between it and the recent film. However, now that I'm in the second book, there is a similarity to the film. Not sure why they picked it out of the second book, but it was interesting

I've considered it before.

I finished reading "The Shack" and it really wasn't what I was expecting. I think it was good, but I wouldn't really recommend it.

I'm about one third into The Historian and loving it! It is so existing, although now I see vampires everywhere, and not the good Edward Cullen kind!
