I voted for the Awakening by Kate Chopin, but it could just as well have been Ethan Frome or Portrait of a Lady:)

I voted for Ethan Frome, but I also like Brideshead Revisted. I haven't read any Edith Wharton and I really want to.

I voted for All Quiet on the Western Front by E.M. Remarque, but I'd also like to read Portrait of a Lady by Henry James

I voted for Wuthering Heights. I got it for Christmas and have been waiting to read it. However, I won't have time to participate in the discussion if it starts in April. May is when I'm done with school and I have many papers and exams due the first week of May :/ So you can discount my vote if you start sooner than that.

I'm OK with waiting until May if it makes life easier for most people, I'll be traveling during the last week of April anyhow.

I won't have time to participate if it starts this month either... too much uni work I'm afraid.

I voted for Ethan Frome by Edith Wharton too; I've been wanting to read more by Edith Wharton for sometime now - I hope I finally have an excuse to! (Not that I need another excuse. lol) Plus I hear it's a fairly short read? Perfect for a book club.

I voted for Wuthering Heights because it's been sitting on my shelf for years now and I haven't gotten around to it yet.

Lots of votes without explanations. Interesting...

I didn't realize any explanation was necessary. Maybe people don't have any particular reason for voting the way they do.

I forgot to say I voted for Ethan Frome. Would have been happy with any of em though.

I think discussing The Awakening would be great, although I´m perhaps the only one who hasn´t done it in school or college. So that´s what I voted for Hopefully I´ll finally get around to discussing on here again!

It's a pretty heated race between The Awakening and Ethan Frome, should we do both?

Yes, I think we should! I already have a copy of The Awakening (because I thought it would win), so please let's go read it! ;D
