I just finished The Handmaid's Tale yesterday. I really liked it. As Dom mentioned in an old post, it's a dystopic novel about the future. I usually like to read these novels, but haven't read many of them (The Giver and Anthem).

I'm glad you liked it I really like her concept of a dystopian future, one of a Christian state with lots of implications for women. I really like dystopic novels too (other than this one I've read Nineteen Eighty Four, Brave New World, Fahrenheit 451, Never Let Me Go... maybe another one I can't remember). I'll have to check out The Giver, I've heard a few people mention it before but I haven't seen it anywhere.

Having read The Giver myself, I can say how much I loved it! I really recommend it to you. It's a short read too so you can easily get through it in a few hours. I had to read it in elementary school, but it's managed to stay with me through all these years. Lois Lowry who wrote The Giver also wrote many other children's books, including Gathering Blue and Messenger, which are part of The Giver trilogy. I hope you get a chance to read these novels.

I'll have to keep my eye out for them then So are they a young adult series?

Has anyone read the Robber's Bride by Margaret Atwood? Is it any good?

I really enjoyed the Robber Bride. It's written from four different perspective, and I have always kind of liked that. I would recommend it.
