!!!! That's so exciting, I love The Great Gatsby and Baz Luhrmann is one of my favorite (if not my favorite) directors.

Hmmm I feel a bit unsure about that, just because I'm such an ENORMOUS fan of the adaptation with Robert Redford in it. But I'd still go see it if it came out.

Yikes!
And I'd probably be first in line to see Baz Luhrmann's "The Great Gatsby" - "Romeo + Juliet" and "Moulin Rouge" are two of my all-time favorite movies. I'm guessing he'd put such a spin on it that we wouldn't think about comparing it with the Robert Redford one, which was a really great adaptation.

I think that anything Baz tackles he tends to *at least* come at it with originality and vision and style. That said, i think R&J (and his opera production of La Boheme) proved he could still do all this and remain true to the source material throughout, so i think Gatsby will be in safe hands.
