I'm going over to a friends house like I do every year. We eat SO much food, and play poker and hide and seek all night. It's loads of fun!!!

My best friend´s throwing a party with lots of food and drinks and we´ll play games, too. Best way to celebrate the new year

I'm working until 10:30-11 ish But then I'm just going to a friends party afterwards. It would have been nice to do something a bit more special though but anyways.

Hey Dom, too bad the new year started like that, but it can't help but get better after that! It's still 2006 over here for another 8 hours!

That sucks! But Jefie´s right, it can only get better. So, happy new year, everyone! The weather here is awful, it´s raining and storming but we celebrated inside and had a great view over the city.

Happy New Year. Frohes neues Jahr. The weather here is awful, too. (Maybe that's because we live in the same country, Dorothy? ). Our party was fantastic yesterday and this morning. Hope it will be a good year - lots of time for book-reading and discussing about it !

Hey Dom dude - sorry that your nye wasn't very fun; i hope Ant is feeling better, poor thing. And Katiaisme, i'm sorry to hear you were sick; i had a mate who was very unwell too, and that's just a cruel turn of fate for anybody! I was left entirely alone for my nye, as all family were other places and friends already had things planned that just weren't for me 9serves me right for being a non-party person i guess!). But Fran/Lostgirl and i did something a little special: depsite the 16 hour time difference, we made a pact to watch the same movies in the hours leading up to midnight, that way we could pretend we were doing so together, ever though we inhabit different hemipsheres! We watched Singin' in the Rain (yay dom!) Bridget Jones' Diary and some of Pride and Prejudice. It was a sweet idea, i thought. Oh! and at midnight i captured some of the fireworks going off around Lake Macqaurie on my digital camera. If anyone wishes to see, please do! www.sendspace.com/file/pczwvo
