well im just a little late responding to this...but im blind or unobservant or something and didnt see it until today. but yea... im not against premarital sex or anything but premarital sex is getting out of hand. there are so many young kids having sex with a different person every weekend...its insane. i cant imagine even thinking about having sex with someone when i was 13. there was a girl in my class who had a baby when she was in 8th grade. i felt horrible for her because people were so mean and hurtful towards her. she was the sweetest person and she was strong enough to keep her baby and raise it herself. that takes a lot of nerve and strength for an 8th grader. ive tried to put myself in that situation mentally to try and figure out what i would do, but i dont think you'd ever truly know until you are in the situation. and what about all of these molestations that have been going on between teachers and young students (10 yr olds)? that is so scary. one day, when i have kids, ill be sending them off to school and will have to not only worry about the normal things (bullies and such) but ill have to worry about their teacher being a pyscho.

I agree. I don't like the fact that sex has become such a casual thing.

I agree too. When I was younger, boys had cooties, and we would never think of "friends with benefits". It wasn't until high school when I started talking to boys.

when I was 13 I was too shy to talk to most boys I went to school with. Boys were slightly scary and crushes were innocent and childish. Girls that age are now having sex or making out with their girl friends to impress the boys. It freaks me out.

Yeah, girls of that age are pretty scary these days. Most look like Lolita and they are stupid with most things but apparently sex is the one thing they manage and the sooner the better. When I was 13 I was friends with boys, playing soccer and stuff. Oh wait, I still do that

I think most girls these days look like prostitutes, let alone looking like Lolita. Do they realize how they look?

how could those girls not realize how they look? they prolly have to spend a lot of time painting on the makeup and squeezing their bodies into too tight clothes. and what's with the push up bra phenomena. yes, support is nice, but not when it pushes you out of your top...

I saw this oprah episode yesterday about a 15 year old who hid she was pregnant from her parents and then stabbed it when it was born because she was so ashamed and scared. Watching it made me cry a few times. Some people that young are just too immature to be able to cope with being parents.

That is so true. Its the last thing I would have wanted at that age. I wasn't even thinking of sex.

yeah, like in the interview she was in jail so it was via videolink, but it was like 6 or 8 years later. You could tell it wasn't that she was a bad person, but just that she was too young and didnt feel like she could speak to anyone about it because she was so ashamed. She also had some mental issues, like anorexia and bulemia at the same time or something.

yeah, when young girls get pregnant and hide it there can be serious repercussions for what they do with the baby afterwards, or if they have a really illegal abortion by someone who's not a trained professional. it's just too young a age, especially maturity wise, to be having sex. i didn't think about sex until i actually had a boyfriend, which was in high school. and not even my first boyfriend because i knew i'd never have sex with him. i was about 16 before i thought about sex in the sense of actually doing it.

i have a question that's related to pregnancy outside of wedlock that doesn't really deal with abortion, but o well. i have this one friend, sam, and i never had asked her about her father. when i actually thought about it, it was years i'd known her and i felt awkward asking her about it. i asked another of my friends, kirsta, who knew her family better and she said that sam's mom, cassy, never told her father she was pregnant. now, kirsta didn't really know her father all that well, because they got divorced when she was really young and he was an alcoholic and stuff. so i wondered, would i rather be kirsta and know my father, as bad a father as he may be, or would i rather be sam and not know who it is and have him not know anything about me? what do you guys think?
