Trusting your opinion as much as I do, I wondered how those of you who have read A Farewell to Arms felt about it. I must read it for school and before I began I thought I would see how you felt about it.

I' sorry, I haven't read, so I can't give you an opinion.. I just wanted to reply since nobody else has... and it's kind of sad to see a post unanswered..

so true, carma! I haven't read it either, but I've loved everything I've read by Hemingway so far!

It was my first Hemingway and I loved it. It was even my favorite book ever for awhile. I think it's a great novel and a good sample of Hemingway's writing style.

It's probably a little late to answer this tread, but I loved A Farewell to Arms as well. I read it both as a book and an audio book, and when I was at the bus listening to it I seriously thought I was in Italy for a while! He's so good at describing moods and settings, without really telling us too much about it.
