I chose Atonement. I just bought the book, and I know there's been a lot of talk about it recently on the boards.

I voted for How to Breathe Underwater, but I'd be happy with any of them.

I can't decide. I think I'm going to wait until I see what others pick ...

I can't decide too. I thought Atonement at first, but I'm not sure yet..also Peony in Love or Water for Elephants..

I am between Atonement, The Thirteenth Tale, or Water for Elephants. Although I am leaning toward The Atonement. Haven't made my pick yet!

I chose 1984, I've been meaning to read it anyway, although I really wanted to choose A Thousand Splendid Suns at first.

Here's my problem with Atonement. I really want to read it. In fact, I have read the first 10 pages or so. But I don't think I want to wait to read it on pace with the discussion because I really want to see the movie which comes out on Friday I think. Just thought I would throw that out there in case anyone else wanted to consider that.

I'll probably read it on holidays. I'm going to take notes as I go along.
