I wasn't sure if this should go in the book or the general board since plays can be book based, so hey I'll just do it here. My favourite plays have been: Blithe Spirit Hedda Gabler Threepenny Opera Midsummer Night's Dream An Ideal Husband
What are your's?

I think this is the right board
Mine: The visit The ladies of the corridor Life of Galilei Macbeth Who´s afraid of Virginia Woolf?
I like the threepenny opera, too although I´ve never seen it performed. Having to constantly study Brecht really got me into all his works.

I studied Brecht for drama when I was at school so that's what got me into it as well. I saw threepenny opera but I've only seen segmants of his other ones. I like Threepenny Opera the best though. We studied that and the Chalk Circle.

Totally belongs in the book section! Mines are:
Who's afraid of Virginia Woolf? (Edward Albee) She stoops to conquer (Oliver Goldsmith) The importance of being Ernest (Oscar Wilde) Cat on a hot tin roof (Tenessee William) Take me out (Richard Greenberg) The Crucible (Arthur Miller)
I've got a few more plays sitting on my stack of books to read, it's my favorite genre after novels.

I've heard of one like that being performed around here, but I didn't have the money to see it at the time. It was meant to be fantastic though. The last thing I went to see was cabaret, that was great. I took my mum as a pressie and we both loved it. In a month or so I'm going to go see Pricilla Queen of the Desert in Sydney. Not sure how I'll like it, it wasn't my pick as I wasn't that big on the movie. I'm sure it will be visually spectacular though. Lol atm in Sydney they're playing a production called "TITANIC: THE MUSICAL", bad taste or what? I can't imagine how that would be.

Titanic as a musical? That´s weird. It kinda reminds me of all the parodies of the "I´m the king of the world" scene. In my area they´re showing a midsummer night´s dream and a streetcar named desire. I hope I can afford to see both.

I don't like very many plays. I do like Taming of the Shrew by Shakespeare. As well as The Cenci by Percy Shelley.

I'm going to restrain from including musicals in this list coz i'll just go on and on, but i can attest that Titanic the musical scored itself several Tony's when it premiered on Bway, and it had Vicky Clark in it's cast and she's bloody incredible (Light in the Piazza anyone? GOLD! aint that right LG?) so it can't be too bad really (though of course, it's a matter of personal opinion). As a script, it has nothing to do with Jim Cameron's film; it's all based around actual fact. An odd concept though, i grant you.
Fav non-musical plays: The Real Inspector Hound A Midsummer Night's Dream The Importance of Being Earnest The Complete Works of Will Shakespeare (hehe: Horatio him knew i, Yorick poor Alas!"
No doubt there's more to add, but my mind is blan at present. Oh, and anyone who's an Aus resident, there's an opera of Streetcar coming to the Syndey Opera House around this time next year, with Teddy Tahu Rhodes as Stanley - it should be incredible.

A Midsummer Night's Dream (will forever remain at my number one spot) The Little Foxes by Lillian Hellman Metamorphoses not by Kafka; Mary Zimmerman, rather. It's based off Greek Myths. The Taming of the Shrew The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams
