Surfacing by Margaret Atwood and Light in August by Faulkner... the Atwood is only 200 pages, the Faulkner's about 480, so I'm glad the library I got these from lets books out for a month.

She's quite famous in Quebec too! I've read 5 or 6 of her novels, I think she's a great writer - you can tell she really masters the French language and she's so original!

Im reading the Color Purple for school right now. Like it so far. Oh and The Left Hand of Darkness as well. Im finding Left Hand a bit confusing though. All the name are so long and hard to pronounce (it's sci-fi) and I keep getting them all mixed up. But I shall survive!

I'm currently reading the second Harry Potter book. It's a breeze to read after having spent ages on The Fountainhead. I'm making sure I have the entire Harry Potter series read before the seventh one comes out.

I just started "A long way down" by Nick Hornby and I'm loving it. I think it's the best Hornby I've read so far.

I've just finished "Biographie de la faim" and I really enjoyed it (very original indeed !). I've also read "Hygiène de l'assassin" a long time ago and I liked it too. I don't know which of her books I'll read next time... Today I'm reading "Of Mice and men" by John Steinbeck. Then, "La Chanson de Roland", a famous book dating back from the Middle Ages.
