Madame Bovary by Gustave Flaubert Are you reading it in French? Or, if you're reading it in English, what translation are you reading? I read it last fall and did not like it at all, but realized after that I may have been reading a bad translation. Francine Prose recommends a certain translation in Reading Like a Writer, so it I decide to read it again ever, I'll read that one. Translated version. I would not be able to read it in French. It doesn't say who translated it, its one the Wordsworth Classics. Still reading Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain. Can't really get into it. Although I have been working a lot lately and really haven't had the time to pick it up.

I put aside "The Interpreter of Maladies" it's just not the kind of book I'm in the mood for. So, I started "The CUrious Incident of the dog in the night-time" which I'm really enjoying right now.
