I haven't read it yet but it's already on my TBR list. I hope to hear some opinions about it.

Yes, I've read it - it's quite good. I thought it was quite different from the Catcher in the Rye, even though some of the same issues are brought up, like phonies and mental breakdown. But the treatment of the story is definitely not as light... I liked the Franny part better than the Zooey part, but all in all it's a good book.

I've read it, too. I thought it was quite a nice story and all in all a decent book. Nevertheless, I think I would have enjoyed it much more if it hadn't taken Franny and Zooey so long to warm up. Their conversation in the last third of the book is really good, I wish they had started it earlier. Oh, and I prefered the Zooey part

Read it and liked it. I´m not such a big fan of catcher in the rye but I enjoy Salinger´s other works. I preferred the Franny part. Hope that doesn´t say sth weird about me

I read it and I didn't really like it. I just never got into it. I loved Catcher in the Rye and I ws hoping for something similar. I didn't like Franny or Zooey (not that I loved Holden Cauflied, but...).

Yeah Ive read it and I didnt really like it. I could never get into it either.. I just found it really boring and pointless. It just kept going on and on, and it just couldnt keep my attention..oh well.

I just finished it and loved it. Salinger's writing is amazing. He is so incredible at using gesture, details, and dialog.
I definitely saw similarities in theme between F&Z and Catcher. But I loved Franny and Zooey. And like many others here, I loved the conversation at the end.
