I think I may read Cat's Cradle next (and by next, I mean in two weeks when my exams are over and I finish the other books I'm reading). I would like to read it as a tribute to him as well.
Was anyone else mad at the news media for not covering this story in much depth? It wasn't even on CNN's homepage by the middle of the day. All we heard about here was the Duke lacrosse players, Imus, and (still) Anna Nicole Smith. It made me very mad that someone great passed away and they didn't pay proper respect to him by honoring his life.
I did enjoy John Stewart's moment of zen tribute, though. Did anyone else see that?

I finished Breakfast of Champions this weekend while I was home. I really liked it - and I loved how he was a character in the book.

Today, my day was made by the news that there will be a new Kurt Vonnegut book in April: www.amazon.com/Armageddon-Retrospect-Kurt-Vonnegut/dp/0399155082/I'm so excited! I wrote about it on my Vox too, and I'll post the publisher's blurb again here: "Armageddon in Retrospect is a collection of twelve new and unpublished writings on war and peace. Imbued with Vonnegut’s trademark rueful humor, the pieces range from a visceral nonfiction recollection of the destruction of Dresden during World War II—an essay that is as timely today as it was then—to a painfully funny short story about three Army privates and their fantasies of the perfect first meal upon returning home from war, to a darker, more poignant story about the impossibility of shielding our children from the temptations of violence. Also included are Vonnegut’s last speech as well as an assortment of his artwork, and an introduction by the author’s son, Mark Vonnegut."
