I decided to read more by Kurt Vonnegut, jet I can't decide which one to start with. So far I have read Slaughterhouse-5.
Any Suggestions?

I think it was Cat´s cradle that I really enjoyed. And I liked the piano player. Better check out amazon though because I´m always a bit fuzzy on the details.

I've only read Slaughterhouse-Five as well, but my husband has read more and I know that Cat's Cradle is his favorite.

I read Slaughterhouse-Five and I loved it, it was my first Vonnegut and it's my favourite so far. After it, I read Galapagos (which is a really strange story) and God Bless You,Mr Rosewater, I enjoyed both. I absolutely like Vonnegut's style and humor and I'd like to read more by him...everything, if I can! I think my very next will be God Bless You, Dr. Kevorkian, Timequake, Jailbird and Player Piano.

My first Vonnegut was Slaughterhouse Five. We had to read it for school and i must admit that i wasn't too keen on reading it. I really enjoyed it. It wasn't at all hard to understand. And i could understand all the stream-of consciousness flow of the book. Probably in one my favorite books or at least most memorable

Ahhh! A Vonnegut post! Brilliant!
I, too, would recommend "Cat's Cradle" next if you want to read a fiction book. It's my favorite one so far. I also really enjoyed "A Man Without A Country" - which is essays.
I'm reading Breakfast of Champions right now.

Let me know how it is. I´ve read some very negative reviews about how there´s no structure and that it´s somehow racist and sexist. I hope it´s good because I really liked the ones I´ve read so far.

I've never read a full book by him. I read a short story in school....I can't remember the title...Harrison something, and I loved it. But that was all the Vinnegut I have ever read.

I've only read Breakfast Of Champions, and I enjoyed it. It's very satirical, so if you are into that, you may enjoy it. A few people I know who read it did not understand the satire, so they hated it. I guess it's an aquired taste.

I finished "A Man Without A Country" and I really enjoyed it. I thought it was enlightening to see his view on things, and also entertaining. I want to read more Vonnegut.

I feel like the angel of death here, but I just read in the paper that Kurt Vonnegut passed away last night...

Wow! I hadn't heard that anywhere! That's so sad. How old was he and how did he die?

ok I just looked it up, he was 84 and died as a result of a brain injury from a fall. That's so sad. Another legend passes away. I always thought he was younger than that... not sure why...
