I just re-read the book, it's very nice and humorous and easy to read! Although most of the books she reads are not familiar or don't interest me, I really like how Nelson's text combines her life in books and her real life events. And, this book really helped me last year, when I was reading Anna Karenina and I had a schedule which I wanted to stick to, and I was pushing myself a bit too much with it, so when I read So Many Books, and especially the chapter Book by Book, I realised I don't have to read Anna Karenina (or anything else) when I don't feel like it. (Too bad that later on the book Nelson spoiled the end of Anna Karenina for me But I still finished and liked AK!)

I still sizzle with envy when i think of Nelson's "library" - "floor to ceiling on three walls, beautifully lined with cherryshelves" -oh sigh!!
She also just has great opening lines to every chapter, and every introduction to a new book, like "You can't eat pizza while reading The House of Mirth"
Love it! And rather like my usual reading habits, i can pull it out at random at any stage and it's still both enjoyable and helpful
