I liked Frankenstein. It was definitely nothing like I thought it was going to be. But then again I've only seen Mel Brooks' "Young Frankenstein" so I really had no idea what it was supposed to be like anyway. I want to read Pygmalion. My sister has it. I want to read the books the Audrey Hepburn movies were based on and obviously that's My Fair Lady.

Yeah I had to do a comparisson of Pygmalion and My Fair Lady. I love that move, have ever since I was a kid Didn't like Frankenstein back then but I have a feeling I would if I re-read it.

The whole reason I love Audrey Hepburn is because my uncle came to my house sometime like 10 years ago and wanted to know if we had it. So we watched it and I thought she was beautiful. So I watched the rest of her movies over the years and I loved how she never had a cheesy movie role.

The people who are in their last year of college had to read the catcher in the rye (next year for me) and I read Animal Farm at school last year. That's about it for English... In Dutch class we don't have to ready any classics. There is a book list where you can pick a book from for the occasional essay (essays are very rare though) For the one book assignment I got this schoolyear, I chose The Trial by Kafka (translated into dutch), but my classmates generally picked short books for adolescents. Now that I think of it, this is really not much. And I chose the Economy-Languages direction...It's a bit sad.

My Top 5 classics would have to be...
1) Pride and Prejudice, by Jane Austen 2) The unabridged Journals of Sylvia Plath, by Sylvia Plath/Karen V.Kukil 3) If it falls under classics, I'm not really sure: Tuesdays with Morrie, by Mitch Albom 4) The Perfume, by Patrick Süsskind 5) To kill a Mockingbird, by Harper Lee

Actually, I'm sure that list would change if you asked me again some other time. That's just what I'm thinking right now.
