I started to read it, and i'm really interested. I'm not that far into the book yet, but i can already tell that it will be great.
What did you think about it?

I find it interesting that the father finds the servant boy more like himself, and his son not. It makes me believe that Hassan may be his son. His mother did have a reputation. I can also see that Amir will resent Hassan because he notices the attention that his father gives Hassan.

i also read this, about a year ago, and i think it was really great. i'd never read a story from this geographical location and time period so i was greatly interested. it is sad in parts, but it is really well written. i thank khaled hosseini for writing this great novel.

I'm currently reading The Kite Runner and only have to finish the last fifty pages. I like the novel very much. One gets to know so much about the history of Afganistan and the friendship of Arim and Hassan is so interesting, you always know there's something more. I never read a book from this geographical location, too, and this makes the book even more interesting.

That was one thing I really loved about the book, too. I hadn't ever really read a book that was set in the Middle East and I found it to be really interesting. I'm definitely going to check out some more books set around Afghanistan.

I heard, that Hosseini wrote a second book "A Thousand Splendid Suns" which I think is about Afghanistan, too. But I suppose it's not available until May.

Hosseini is a really great author. I wish I'd gone to see him at a neighboring college last year when he was on a tour. I underestimated him...
