My favourite bookstore is Feltrinelli, unfortunately there isn't one here in Verona, I go to the one in Milan whenever I get the chance. Here in Verona I like Fnac and when I lived in U.K. I used to go mostly to Waterstone.. I usually go to Feltrinelli too, it's the biggest bookstore we have here. My uncle, who lives in Milano, told me there's an amazing Feltrinelli in the centre of the city. Have you ever been to a Feltrinelli International? A friend told me the one in Bologna is good, but I've never been there.

Fnac here is ok..but Feltrinelli is amazing !

My favourite bookshop was called Compendium. It was located on Camden High Street for about 35 years but, tragically, closed down in 2000. I used to go there every weekend from about the age of 12 onwards. I took all my friends there, anyone who was visiting London, I forced my mother to go. It was my absolute favourite place in the world. I bought my first Kerouac there, my first Rimbaud.. it was a great great place and after nearly 8 years I still can't believe it's gone. Walking in Camden just hasn't been the same since.
My favourite bookshop now is Black Gull Books, a funky secondhand place also in Camden (off the high street, in the stables market, at the back of the West Yard near the canal.) Beyond the internet that bookshop is now my Place for browsing, bargains and rare finds. I love it.

They sound like cool places. it's always sad when a bookstore closes down but it's good you found another place. I'd love a secondhand bookstore near where I live (I think I've mentioned it before...)
