i know that there is already a topic titled 'the best book you ever read' but since it's quite impossible to pick just one book, i thought about a topic listing the top 15 favorites since some titles would reoccur several times, maybe we can then start a book list titled "The Book Club's Favorites" .. what do you think? okay, so i'll go first: 1. Harry Potter - JK Rowling(yes, as cliched as this might sound, i absolutely love the series!) 2. Special Topics in Calamity Physics - Marisha Pessl 3. The Great Gatsby - F. Scott Fitzgerald 4. The Outsiders - S. E Hinton 5. 1984 - George Orwell 6. Pride and Prejudice - Jane Austen 7. The Time Traveler's Wife - Audrey Niffenger 8. On Love - Alain de Botton 9. Message in a Bottle - Nicholas Sparks 10. Angels and Demons - Dan Brown 11. The History of Love - Nicole Krauss 12. Twilight - Stephenie Meyer 13. 19 Minutes - Jodi Picoult 14. Tuesdays with Morrie - Mitch Albom 15. To Kill a Mockingbird - Harper Lee

I think I can name 15, but I can't put them in actual order. So I'll number them to keep track, but they are not in the actual order of preference, because that's too hard. 1. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (and the entire series, but I'll list this one) 2. The Namesake by Jhumpa Lahiri 3. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen 4. The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald 5. A Man Without a Country by Kurt Vonnegut 6. Life of Pi by Yann Martel 7. The Book Thief by Markus Zusak 8. The History of Love by Nicole Krauss 9. The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams 10. The Life and Times of the Thunderbolt Kid by Bill Bryson 11. I Capture the Castle by Dodie Smith 12. A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith 13. A Girl Named Zippy by Haven Kimmel 14. Franny and Zooey by J. D. Salinger 15. The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde That was hard! There are so many more!

The Shadow of the Wind was amazing, wasn't it? Do you know if this author wrote any other novels?

Yes, he's written many others but I'm not sure which ones have been translated into English. Here's the list in Spanish: El Juego del Ángel, La Trilogía de la Niebla, La sombra del viento (The Shadow of the Wind), Marina, Las luces de septiembre, El palacio de medianoche, El príncipe de la niebla. He's very popular in Spain!
