lol, yeah, apparently the one who stole the purse was drunk and wanted to get the girl's phone number so he figured he'd find it in her purse or something...

This happened yesterday but I forgot to bring it up and I'm sure you've all heard of it by now: Fidel Castro has resigned as Cuba's president: news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080219/ap_on_re_la_am_ca/fidel_castro_26His "younger" brother Raul is going to take over for now, but I think a lot of people in Cuba as well as Cubans living in exile are holding their breath, hoping this might bring about some positive change.

Yes, I heard that yesterday morning! I was going to post it as well. I was very surprised. I thought he would die before resigning.

There are a lot of rumours saying that he might already be dead and that this was all a big plan to make sure there would be a smooth transition...
I guess it's like Ossama bin Laden, how many people honestly believe he's still alive?!

Yeah, but it looks like they were all shot at the same time. Same thing with Castro. I know it all sounds conspiracy theoryish, but I wouldn't put it beneath them to do it.

But that's why they hold up newspapers in the videos. To show that they are current.

Yeah the videos have been studied and the images of headlines and his voice describing recent events is genuine. I think if the Intelligence community found that even one or two of the videos Osama is realising are fake everyone would just assume he's dead and now has become a figure to rally around.

You can pretty much do what you want with technology today, and if people found out Bin Laden was dead, the war in Irak would be getting even less public support than it is getting today. I don't mean to be the guy who doesn't believe we walked on the moon, but I still think it's a possibility that all those videos are fake. I guess it shows how much I trust those politicians

So yesterday the Serbs attacked and set fire to the US embassy in Serbia due to our country's recognition of Kosovo as its own separate country since it claimed independence a few days ago. I wish there was an easy way to solve some of those problems in Eastern Europe, but so many different ethnic groups are intermingled it's hard to do so. If I understand history correctly, the only reason some of those countries in Eastern Europe formed outside others were because of common languages. And I think the US had something to do with that after WWI.

I don't know if anyone has talked about this on another board yet, but the movie for HP7 will actually be two separate movies--the first comes out in Nov 2010 and the second in May 2011. It's this way because there's too much stuff that can't be taken out. But I honestly don't think if it was one 5 hour long movie the fans would be deterred from seeing it. I can't help but think it's a money thing--two movies equals twice as much money.
