I liked Perks of Being a Wallflower... but then many more books came that were practically the same and I got turned off to current teen fiction

My "to be read pile" is huge. Plus, I buy all the books. However, I hardly have any time to read them. So I get to look at them on my shelves all the time. They look nice on my shelves though.

I had to read the Kite Runner for school this past year. It is soooo good! I loved it! I don't think there were any students that didn't like it. Even my boyfriend, who hates reading, liked it. And Time Traveler's Wife...*sigh* it's one of my favourites. A little confusing at first, but o so good once you finish.
I have so many books that I haven't read it isn't even funny. Here are some that I've bought and haven't read yet:
1) Memoirs of a Geisha (movie was good, so I'm expecting the book to be even better) 2) A Wedding in December by Anita Shreve 3) Darcy and Elizabeth by Linda Berdoll 4) Reading Lolita in Tehran by can't-remember-his-name
Then I guess there are the library books I have checked out: 5) the Perfume 6) Abundance- A Novel of Marie Antoinette by Sena Jeter Naslund 7) A College of Magics by Caroline Stevermer 8) the Complete Sherlock Holmes Volume I
*sorry, that was more than 5 but o well

I agree the book is better, but I did like the movie. As with a lot of adaptions a lot of detail is lost in the transition from book to movie in this case
