Oh don't get me wrong - the normal dance movies can be very enjoyable. Centre Stage i really like to watch when i'm in the mood, for example. The Red Shoes however will ALWAYS be the best dance film ever made.

The Red Shoes however will ALWAYS be the best dance film ever made. I've never seen it. I'll have to check it out. I've also managed to never see The Turning Point. All of my friends at ballet can't believe that one.

I saw "Ensemble, c'est tout", based on Anna Gavalda's novel "Hunting and Gathering", and I thought it was quite enjoyable. Audrey Tautou (Amelie) is in it. Then I saw "Jersey Girl" by Kevin Smith. It thought it was pretty good actually, I'm not sure why it got so much bad publicity, probably because Jennifer Lopez is in it at the beginning?

I really like Jersey Girl, too. Ben is a huge Kevin Smith Fan (we even have signed chasing amy and mallrats posters hanging in our hallway - despite my protests) so I'm forced to see all of his movies over and over again. But I liked Jersey Girl.

The new Pirates of the Carribean, in theaters. It was good, but I fell asleep in the middle for about 20 mins.

The decent. Definately was a bf pick. Phil and I went to the video shop and ended up bickering and not agreeing on anything so he's like ok lets not watch anything tonight and I'll watch this movie tomorrow. Then we get home and he's like oh lets just watch a half hour of it. I was completely manipulated into watching an entire movie about women being trapped in caves with weird monsters that were like across between gollum/a bat/ a cannibal.
what is it about guys and horror movies? So not my thing!

Interesting kind of monster...it does not sound a very good movie I don't like watching horrors, my best friend is very fond of them and tried to make me change my mind years ago, not successfully. ;D I've just rewatched Pirates Of Carribean 1 with audio comment by Gore Verbinski and Johnny Depp...interesting and very funny.

The ending of The Last King of Scotland gave me chills. A friend of mine is from Uganda, and even though this time was before she was born, it was interesting to learn more about her country.
I also saw Knocked Up on Friday and really liked it. Judd Apatow, the director/writer, was the executive producer of one of my favorite shows of all time, Freaks and Geeks, and a lot of people from that show were in the movie.
