It sounds to me like there aren't that many people who want to read 1984 or else they already read it...just thought I'd point that out...

Maybe we should pick another book and start it after we've finished Mansfield Park?

If most people want to do that I'm sure that will be fine. What does everybody think? 1984 or something else?

I don't mind whatever you choose, it does seem like people aren't very enthusiastic about 1984... no idea why. [/color]

Well, 1984 keeps popping up every time we do a next book club poll, so I'm assuming there are still some members who'd like to discuss it? I know I would

I have read it before, but I really liked it, so I wouldn't mind to read it again.

I guess the other thing is, if we were to pick a different one and do it after Mansfield Park, really if we ran 1984 at the same time as Mansfield Park it would be pretty much the same because we'd then pick another one after Mansfield Park. I hope that makes sense. But I'm happy to do whatever the majority thinks because while 1984 is one of my faves I have already read it.

So, we should read 1984 after Mansfield Park?

or maybe along with mansfield park? since most have read 1984... so maybe they can be done at the same time? With a one week difference maybe.. but I'm not sure...
