Dead Until Dark (I've never seen True Blood, but you guys seem to like the books and I want to see what all the fuss is about ) and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (thought it was time to start a new series).

I just bought the new book by Katharina Hagena. I don't think there is an English version, but the translation would be The Taste of Appleseeds.

I liked it although some parts were a bit too nostalgic for me. Katharina Hagena also sometimes wanted the story to sound magical, but that always seems a bit artificial in this case. Anyway I can recommend it.

Sounds like it´s a book to get from the library instead of buying it. My mom got me "A Case of Exploding Mangoes" by Mohammed Hanif and "The Magicians" by Lev Grossman. I also ordered "The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie" by Alan Bradley.

Anyway I can recommend it. I felt the same way, it seemed like she was trying to hard to sound magical, with trees flourishing because people made love beneath it. It also had kind of an open ending, at least partly, which I hate, so I don't know what to think about it.... It wasn't really bad, but I don't understand why it is so popular at the moment.

Okay, so it's not only me who thinks that way. I have heard a lot of good things about it and I couldn't really agree. But it was nice to read it in the garden and relax.
